Economic development outlined in Hastings

Last year the Hastings Economic Development Corporation put in place a community incentive program through Hastings Utilities to help fund projects for businesses that already exist in the Hastings Community but also help recruit new ones. Last night the Director of HEDC Dave Rippe updated the Hastings City Council on two businesses that are part of the program and have seen success. Rippe says certainly anytime there is incentive funds involved it’s used as a recruitment tool. Rippe says there are several things in Hastings that he points to, in effort to attract new businesses.
