Albion woman killed in accident in GI

Authorities say a 61-year-old car driver was fatally injured in a collision with a semitrailer in GI. The woman was identified as Gloria Carlson, of Albion.
The accident occurred a little after 1 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 30 in Grand Island. Grand Island Police Sgt. Stan Steele says Carlson was driving west before slowing to turn south at Stuhr Road. Steele says investigators say Carlson apparently failed to yield to the oncoming truck.
