Kranjc to become Assistant Athletic Director for HC

Jerry Schmutte is pleased to announce that Chris Kranjc, Head Coach for the HC Bronco Menís Soccer team, will also take on the Assistant Athletic Director position as of January 11, 2013.
Coach Chris Kranjc has developed and enriched a winning tradition at Hastings College that has seen the Broncos become one of the top soccer college programs in the country, culminating with the school's first team National Championship in any menís team sport in 2010.
In all, Kranjc has guided Hastings to thirteen consecutive GPAC regular season championships, nine GPAC Tournament titles and to the NAIA Tournament nine times. Hastings advanced to the NAIA Final Four in 2003-2005-2010-2011, NAIA quarterfinal in 2008, the Round of 16 in 2001, 2006, 2009, 2012 and all the way to the national title game in 2010 and 2011. The Broncos have finished ranked in the NAIA Final Poll ten times during Kranjcís leadership.
Coach Kranjc has a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Bellevue University, where he played intercollegiate soccer. He holds a Master of Arts in teaching degree from Hastings College and recently attained a Master of Science in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania.
Chris Kranjc is a native of Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Millard North in 1991. Coach Kranjc is married to Sarah and they have 2 daughters, Jenna and Keelie, and 1 son, Kade.
