Loper Softball/Baseball Schedule Changes|
Due to weather and field conditions, the Nebraska-Kearney/Pittsburg State softball double header scheduled for Friday, April 12th, has been pushed back two days.
The Lopers (7-21, 2-10) and Gorillas (18-18, 6-10) will now play a double header on Sunday, April 14th, starting at noon. UNK’s games with Missouri Southern State (19-19, 6-10) on Saturday will be played as scheduled. First pitch with the Lions is set for 1:00 p.m.
Next week, the Lopers have eight games in five days as they are making up postponed dates with Truman State (Tues., April 16th) and Northeastern State (Thurs., April 18th). All eight games will be on the road or at neutral sites.
Lopers Head to Oklahoma this Weekend
Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney/Missouri Western State baseball double header scheduled for Memorial Field on Thursday, April 11th, has been canceled and will not be made up.
The games were originally set for Tuesday, April 9th, but pushed back two days due to Winter Storm Walda. Currently in Kearney, the I-80 West bound exit is closed due to ice and high winds and a winter weather advisory is in effect until 7:00 p.m.
UNK (19-15, 16-12) travels to Central Oklahoma this weekend for a three game series starting Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Bronchos (19-16, 15-15) split a double header with in-state rival Northeastern State on Tuesday.
