Hastings Plumber dies in accident

A 33-year-old Hastings plumber has been killed in a construction accident on the southwest side of Hastings. Rescued workers were called to the site just before 11 a.m. Wednesday. Adams County Attorney Donna Fegler Daiss says Jose Briseno was working in a trench when it collapsed on him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been ordered.
