Hastings Community Theatre Holds Auditions for The Cemetery Club

Auditions for Cemetery Club will be held at the Hastings Community Theatre (515 East 4th Street, Hastings) on Wednesday, October 16th and Thursday, October 17th; from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
The production is being directed by Chuck & Berice Rosenberg and produced by Donna Hastings.
Performance Dates: February 14-16 and 21-23, 2014.
Pre-Show Pictures: October 27, 2013
Cemetery Club is the story of three Jewish widows. They are the surviving half of three sets of long time best friends. Each of whom is in a different stage of healing and moving on with her life. Once a month the three women meet to pay their respects to their husbands, who are all buried in the same cemetery.
Characters (50 to 60 years): 4 women, 1 man
Ida—is the gentlest and most charming of the widowed friends
Lucille—is the most brazen one
Doris—is the most conservative of the widows
Sam—is the widower; but is willing to take a chance on happiness
Mildred—is a show-off and a flirt (smaller role)
Actors need to have a great sense of comedic timing and speak with a Jewish accent. Actors will be asked to read from the Cemetery Club script.
We will also need set builders, set decorators, costumes, hair and make-up, lights, sound, props and stage crew.
