GI man arrested for smashing up county vehicles
Posted: 12/03/12 09:03 A Grand Island man who smashed up state and county cars earlier this year has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay more than $14,000 in restitution.
28-year-old Mohamed Ali was sentenced in Hall County District Court to up to two years in prison on each two counts of felony criminal mischief. Police say Ali used a cinder block to break windows out of two cars owned by the Nebraska Transportation Department and two cars owned by the county on June 6. Police say Ali also dented the cars' hoods and doors. The cars were parked near the Hall County Administration Building at the time. Ali was arrested nearby. |
