Nebraska Game and Parks investigating Bald Eagle killing|
The Nebraska Game and Parks are actively investigating the shooting of a bald eagle near Beatrice, The eagle was found on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 in a field located approximately 4.5 miles east of Hwy 77, on Hickory Road in Beatrice, NE. Bald eagles are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. The shooting of any eagle is considered a violation of those acts.
