Bronco Men 5-0, Down UNK|
The Hastings College Men's Basketball Team faced an old rival in the University of Nebraska-Kearney and continued its winning ways defeating the Lopers 87-75 on Tuesday night.
Hastings may not have won the shooting percentage but the main stat to take from this night was the 21 Loper turnovers compared to just nine for the Broncos.
If that wasn't enough, Hastings received great contribution off the bench from Jake Hamburger, Zach Lenagh and Dylan Flinn each accounting for double digits in the points column
Head Coach Lance Creech truly commended his team and his bench after the game. "Probably our best team win since the 2009-10 season, Creech said. "Our bench contribution is what created separation in the final ten minutes."
Dane Bacon once again led the way for the Broncos with 22 points as Brady Lollman added 10 of his own. Alex Thayer along with Bacon each had four steals too.
With the win, Hastings improves to 5-0 heading into conference play as they will host Morningside Saturday Nov. 17 with tipoff set for 4:00 p.m. on Lynn Farrell Arena.
Unk will play Thursday night at Wayne St.
